BLOOMINGTON, MINN., January 21, 2009 — Accessible Space Inc., of St. Paul, was recognized recently by Minnesota's largest workers' compensation insurer for leadership in preventing on-the-job injuries.

"ASI has worked diligently to put good ideas into action," said Bob Lund, president and CEO of SFM Companies, a regional Minnesota-based insurance group that specializes in workers' compensation. "Among those are innovative training programs involving both their clients and their employees to help prevent lifting injuries."

Accessible Space Inc., headquartered in St. Paul, is the nation's largest provider of low-income housing and care for people with traumatic brain injuries and other disabilities. It has facilities in 22 states.

ASI is one of five employers this year to be awarded the Premier Partner Award by SFM Companies, which insurers 13,000 Midwest employers for workers' compensation.

SFM representatives and Matt Clysdale of Maguire Insurance Agency, St. Paul, recently presented the award to ASI President Stephen Vander Schaaf.
