BLOOMINGTON, MINN., January 21, 2009 — GLS Companies, of Brooklyn Park, was recognized recently by Minnesota's largest workers' compensation insurer for leadership in preventing on-the-job injuries.

"GLS has worked diligently to put good ideas into action," said Bob Lund, president and CEO of SFM Companies, a regional Minnesota-based insurance group that specializes in workers' compensation. "It has kept a focus on injury prevention throughout its organization even during times of business growth and acquisitions. One example is an innovative wellness program the company developed for its employees."

GLS Companies, headquartered in Brooklyn Park, is a full-service printer with locations in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Indiana.

GLS is one of five employers this year to be awarded the Premier Partner Award by SFM Companies, which insurers 13,000 Midwest employers for workers' compensation.

SFM representatives and Eric Klein of Lee F. Murphy Agency, St. Paul, recently presented the award to GLS President Gary Garner.
