Brener elected to IAIABC executive committee

MADISON, Wis., September 6, 2011 — SFM Senior Vice President and General Counsel Scott Brener was recently elected to the 2011-2012 executive committee of the International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions (IAIABC), North America's oldest workers' compensation association.

The committee comprises an 11-member board, and provides strategic leadership and financial oversight for the association. It also leads the organization's training, education, information-sharing and standard setting programs to serve the global workers' compensation community.

Brener is the first private sector individual on the executive committee in its 97-year history.

The International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions is a not-for-profit association representing most of the government agencies charged with the administration of workers' compensation systems throughout the United States, Canada, and other nations and territories as well as other workers' compensation professionals in the private sector. Its mission is to advance the efficiency and effectiveness of workers' compensation systems throughout the world. It is governed by an Executive Committee of jurisdictional agency leaders, and maintains a staff headquarters in Madison, Wis.
