Company News5-year state exam indicates SFM's financial strength BLOOMINGTON, Minn., January 24, 2012—The Minnesota Department of Commerce recently completed its five-year financial examination of SFM, which is required of all insurance companies originally licensed in Minnesota. The exam, which reviews the previous five years' financial statements and the company's systems and internal controls, found no differences in accounting or weaknesses in SFM controls. "It's like getting an excellent report card," said Terry Miller, SFM chief financial officer. "The exam results indicate SFM's solid leadership and financial strength."
