SFM Application Manager launches;
agent response, use 'tremendous'

  
 


Nearly half of all applications submitted to SFM are being submitted through SFM Application Manager (SAM), the new online system launched in late April.

In addition, the overall volume of applications submitted to SFM is up significantly. A substantial portion of these are being submitted to SFM because of the availability of the new system, according to data analysis.SAM logo

“The response has been tremendous--far exceeding our targets and our expectations. Agents are making very good use of SAM,” Brian Bent, SFM director of underwriting, said.

Additional commission

Agents are taking advantage of the 5 percent additional commission on accounts submitted through SAM. Agents earn the additional commission on accounts up to $10,000 premium with policy effective dates through Dec. 31.

Agents are also drawn to SAM’s features and ease of use. SFM designed the new online application system to be the best in the market today. According to a survey of first-time SAM users, agents rate the system high and say they are likely to use it again soon.

Tips for users

  • Your browser must have cookies enabled. Certain browser settings block cookies, and this will prevent access to your application information in SAM. Ask your system administrator to make sure your machine accepts cookies.

  • If you are having trouble logging in, double-check your user name and password to make sure you are entering all of the characters correctly.

  • Clicking the “Save” button generally does not automatically navigate you forward in the SAM system. Once you have saved the information you typed in, look for a button labeled “Continue” at the bottom of the screen.

  • Limitless accounts. You can submit business of any size and type.
