'Zero tolerance' practices help deter fraud
Fraud is disrespect of employers, disrespect of honest co-workers, and disrespect of an important benefit program. SFM's policy is "zero tolerance." SFM actively pursues offenders with the goal of recovering financial loss and deterring future fraud.
SFM prints a notice on all claimant benefit checks and expense reimbursement forms: "A person who submits an application or files a claim with intent to defraud or helps commit fraud against an insurer is guilty of a crime."
