Train your employees

Use SFM's newest SITs and 5-Minute Solutions to keep winter safety top-of-mind.

SITs – A supervisor initiated training (SIT) is a hazard-specific training talk presented by a lead or supervisor anytime during the workday. It takes less than three minutes and reminds staff about important safety messages and procedures. It also gives your staff the opportunity to bring up common risks or concerns.

5-Minute Solutions – A 5-Minute Solution, similar to a toolbox talk, is a training discussion on a safety-related topic that identifies hazards to watch for, safe procedures to use and best practices for alleviating the hazards and staying safe. These training talks take about 5 minutes and are often given by a supervisor.
