SFM state expansion project takes a focus on Kansas

SFM is now writing small business based in Kansas, and we plan to expand our small business presence into more states in the future.

“We’re interested in writing business in all states we’re licensed in to help our agency partners,” said Shawn Miner, SFM Strategic Business Unit Manager. “We are particularly interested in expanding our footprint in Kansas and are putting in the resources to help that initiative.”

SFM is appointing agents in Kansas to write accounts up to $25,000 in premium.

We’ve been talking to agents in Kansas to find out what we can do for them and have updated our approach to be more competitive in the market. This also includes adding Kansas-specific resources to our website.

SFM is actively assigning agents throughout the state and the response to our initial introduction has been tremendous so far.

“We have aggressive, yet responsible goals,” Miner said. “This opportunity is exciting and we have an experienced team particularly well-built to handle agency partnerships in Kansas.”

Many classes of small business in Kansas are eligible for immediate binding online when you apply for a quote using SFM’s Agency Manager (SAM).

As of October 1, SFM will be licensed in 34 states and counting. We're now writing small business accounts located in any of these states. Our expansion into other states continues to benefit larger operations as well. Larger employers that are domiciled in our core states of MN, WI, IA, NE and SD can get coverage for locations in the other states.
