SFM website redesign goes live May 14

A major redesign of SFM’s public website goes live May 14.

The site will have a fresh look and feel that’s consistent with the web applications, better highlight heavily used features, allow for smoother navigation and give visitors easier access to SFM’s workers’ compensation resources.

“Following significant user research and feedback sessions with internal employees, we’re excited to roll out the new SFMIC.com,” said Sara Goese, Senior Web Content Developer. “Visitors should expect a modernized experience and have better access to all of what the website has to offer.”

The update modernizes both the underlying technology and the front-end design, and the new interface is centered around ease of use and efficiency for the wide variety of users who access the site.

Every page has been redesigned to make the website more user friendly, and pages have been built out to provide more information about work comp topics. The website features new FAQ sections and a search function that returns both web pages and resource catalog content.

“The new site follows our central design system to give users a consistent experience when going from the website to our applications,” said Gina Bjork, UX/UI Designer. “We’ve also streamlined our navigation and designed for a wide range of screen sizes.”

The new website meets the evolving needs of SFM’s users while ensuring security, accessibility and a superior customer experience.

Note: There may be a period of downtime the evening of May 13 as the changeover goes into effect.
