Inclusive workplace
Building an inclusive culture invites employees to bring their authentic, whole selves to work and have a sense of belonging.

Creating a supportive environment
SFM strives to create an environment where employees are valued, empowered to positively support our business objectives and customers, and be recognized for their individual and team contributions. We embrace a range of human differences. In the workplace it’s the mosaic of people who bring a variety of backgrounds, styles, perspectives, values and beliefs as assets to the groups and organizations with which they interact.
Equal opportunity employer
We are committed to hiring, developing and retaining a diverse team, fostering an inclusive culture, and investing in equity across our organization. Having a workforce with a variety of backgrounds, styles, perspectives, ideas and experiences is essential for us to be successful in our jobs and better serve our customers.
SFM and each of its parent companies, subsidiaries and/or affiliated companies are Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employers. SFM provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, status with regard to public assistance, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
Employee resource group
Our employee resource group, named the EPIC Committee, promotes and educates employees on inclusion at SFM. The group hosts community engagement opportunities for employees to get involved, offers educational webinars, and educates employees on inclusion topics.
They also facilitate SFM’s Bob Lund Scholarship, which provides college scholarships to students from historically underserved communities, invests in future leaders and introduces them to careers in the insurance industry.
