Prevent slips and falls in parking lots and school buildings
Slips and falls are common in schools. These can happen in icy parking lots, on slippery floors, around drinking fountains and in school kitchens. Standing on chairs and tripping over cords and clutter also poses risks.
Injuries involving students
An SFM study found that about 40% of school employee injuries involve students. Most of these are due to staff responding to students who are acting out, but many are due to playing with students, or assisting and transferring students.
Additional school resources
SFM has additional safety resources for schools, including posters, checklists, assessments and more.

Recommended safety products and vendors
Sometimes preventing injuries can be as simple as using a safety product or enlisting the help of a reliable vendor to teach you best practices.
