SFM recently rolled out two new claim packets to help employers and employees navigate the claim process.
While SFM already had a claim packet available, these new resources are tailored to specific audiences. The packets are available here:
“The ultimate goal is to ensure the claim is managed effectively, and potentially prevent a future incident from happening,” said Cole Wynveen, Team Business Leader.
Both packets offer a checklist and essential resources to provide a step-by-step guide to the claims process following a work injury or incident:
- The employer packet helps policyholders navigate the claim, help reduce the potential for similar injuries, and offers tips for getting employees back on the job
- The employee packet helps the injured get the medical attention they need and provides additional resources as they recover
“At SFM, we want to support the injured worker, ensure compliance and promote an efficient claims process,” Wynveen said.
These new claim packets – freely available in the SFM resource catalog – give employers and employees actionable instructions to help:
- Make the claim run smoothly
- Get the injured worker the support they need
- Reduce the potential for a similar incident to occur
- Assess the employee’s ability to perform transitional work
“A lot of planning went into these new resources and how we can make things easier for both employers and injured employees,” Wynveen said. “We always strive to keep employees safe on the job. But if an accident does occur, these resources will help make the process as clear as possible.”
